So, you had your order unilaterally cancelled under a set of terms and conditions that are suspect at best and you want your order? In my really blunt and honest opinion, I doubt they care and I doubt you’ll get your order.

Oh, #MangoSale. The disappointment. The waste of publicity. Oh, man.

How much would you have paid for a PR campaign? How much would it have really cost you to just post out the orders? €10,000? €20,000?

The bigger complaint to be laid should be the collection of user data. The user data should be deleted in my opinion. So, send your complaints in.

If you want to lay a valid complaint, you are going to need to approach the National Consumer Commission.

“The National Consumer Commission (NCC) is the chief regulator of consumer-business interaction in South Africa, and was created by government under the auspices of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), to ensure economic welfare of consumers.”

Download the form to register a complaint here.

See procedure here.

Please note:

  1. Laying a complaint on Hello Peter is a private matter between the two parties. It is not official and it is entirely up to the brand whether or not they will reply.
  2. SA Consumer Complaints is also a privately run website owned by a registered mediator. If you send your complaint through there, it is not official.
